VOA: Sudan's National Congress Party Denies Undermining CPA. Sudan's National Congress Party (NCP) has sharply denied it is undermining the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) that ended the war between the country's North and South. The NCP affirmed its commitment towards the full implementation of the CPA. But an official of the Southern Sudanese government dismissed Khartoum's assurances as a farce.

Reuters: Leader of Darfur Peacekeeping Mission Resigns. The head of the joint United Nations-African Union peacekeeping mission in Sudan's Darfur region, who some diplomats say has been ineffective, is stepping down, United Nations officials said Tuesday. Officials from the United Nations are working closely with the African Union to find a replacement for the head of the peacekeeping mission, Rodolphe Adada, who is a former foreign minister of Congo, said Marie Okabe, a United Nations spokeswoman.

Reuters: Medical Teams International Awarded Grant to Help Darfur Families in Sudan. Medical Teams International, along with its Global Relief Alliance partners, is the recipient of a $1.92 million grant to provide primary health care to 105,000 people in West Darfur. The Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is providing the grant to Medical Teams International and its Christian partners on the scene to supply health, nutrition and water aid until July 2010.
