Bloomberg News: Sudanese Opposition Parties Protest Election Commission 'Bias'. Sudan's main opposition parties staged a rally today to protest what they called "bias" by the National Elections Commission in favor of the ruling party before the first multiparty elections in 24 years next month. Almost 200 protesters gathered at the electoral body's offices in Sudan's capital, Khartoum, as opposition presidential candidates handed a copy of their demands for a free and fair vote to the commission.

Financial Times: Sudan polls divide international community.  The former rebels of south Sudan have unveiled a slogan inspired by Barack Obama: "Hope for change". An adviser to Omar al-Bashir, the president, has hit back by calling them "good-for-nothings". After 24 years without democracy, Sudan's politicians have shown competitive zeal for the presidential, parliamentary and gubernatorial races due to take place from April 11-13.

Sudan Tribune: Sudan radio prevents candidate from addressing Bashir's ICC warrant.  The Sudanese state radio blocked the leader of the Umma Party and one of twelve runners in the presidential race from broadcasting his speech over a number of items that it labeled as "inciting prejudices and hatred against the state". The twenty minutes pre-recorded audio message was to be broadcasted on radio as part of rules allowing presidential candidates to utilize the state media to deliver electoral campaign programs.  Sudanese opposition parties however have said that time is unevenly distributed and leaning sharply in favor of the ruling National Congress Party (NCP).
