Final Communiqué of the African Quintet Summit on Darfur, October 17, 2004, On October 17, 2023 the heads of five African states, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, and Sudan met in Tripoli to discuss the situation in Darfur. They leaders expressed the desire to continue to hold regular meetings, their rejection of foreign intervention and their support for the efforts of the African Union.
